So much has transpired since my initial posting ...
We sit today, on the precipice of SHIFT ... change unlike anything we have ever known or maybe ever imagined.
I have experienced the love of people growing frigidly cold, distant and even hostile. It is grievous to me and yet, it has long been predicted in God's word.
Matthew 24:11-13 Amplified Bible (AMP)
11 And many false prophets will rise up and deceive and lead many into error.
12 And the love of the great body of people will grow cold because of the multiplied lawlessness and iniquity,
13 But he who endures to the end will be saved.
I do not believe it is God's desire, nor His heart that ANY perish.
2 Peter 3:9 Amplified Bible (AMP)
The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises, according to some people’s conception of slowness, but He is long-suffering (extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance.
When Jesus died on the cross of Calvary, He died WITH US and took FOR US the punishment of our sins. We received HIS Righteousness, while He took our punishment & the wrath of God upon sin. We died together with him, but escaped the punishment we deserved for our sins because Jesus willingly took our place.
Romans 6:8
Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him...
Romans 5:7-9 Amplified Bible (AMP)
7 Now it is an extraordinary thing for one to give his life even for an upright man, though perhaps for a noble and lovable and generous benefactor someone might even dare to die.
8 But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.
9 Therefore, since we are now justified (acquitted, made righteous, and brought into right relationship with God) by Christ’s blood, how much more [certain is it that] we shall be saved by Him from the indignation and wrath of God.
Galatians 2:18-20 Amplified Bible (AMP)
18 For if I [or any others who have taught that the observance of the Law of Moses is not essential to being justified by God should now by word or practice teach or intimate that it is essential to] build up again what I tore down, I prove myself a transgressor.
19 For I through the Law [under the operation of the curse of the Law] have [in Christ’s death for me] myself died to the Law and all the Law’s demands upon me, so that I may [henceforth] live to and for God.
20 I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
Colossians 2:20 Amplified Bible (AMP)
If then you have died with Christ to material ways of looking at things and have escaped from the world’s crude and elemental notions and teachings of externalism, why do you live as if you still belong to the world? [Why do you submit to rules and regulations?—such as]
The amazing thing about grace is that every human beings sins WERE forgiven them when Jesus shed His blood and gave his life willing on the cross 2,000 years ago. The GOOD NEWS is that mercy, grace, redemption & salvation belong to every human being who will CHOOSE to receive the gift.
Romans 5:14-16 Amplified Bible (AMP)
14 Yet death held sway from Adam to Moses [the Lawgiver], even over those who did not themselves transgress [a positive command] as Adam did. Adam was a type (prefigure) of the One Who was to come [in reverse, the former destructive, the Latter saving].
15 But God’s free gift is not at all to be compared to the trespass [His grace is out of all proportion to the fall of man]. For if many died through one man’s falling away (his lapse, his offense), much more profusely did God’s grace and the free gift [that comes] through the undeserved favor of the one Man Jesus Christ abound and overflow to and for [the benefit of] many.
16 Nor is the free gift at all to be compared to the effect of that one [man’s] sin. For the sentence [following the trespass] of one [man] brought condemnation, whereas the free gift [following] many transgressions brings justification (an act of righteousness).
Right now, we are coming up on Rosh Ha Shannah, the "head of the year' or Jewish New Year and the day to sound the trumpets. It begins at sundown, Sunday, September 16, 2012 through sundown Tuesday, September 18, 2012. This begins the "Days of Awe" also called The Days of Repentance culminating 10 days later in YOM KIPPUR, the Day of Atonement.
It seems war is inevitable between Israel and many countries in the Middle East ... but provoking fear is NOT my intent.
Inciting the reality of the need for Jesus is ...
God is good... Jesus is the representative of God Who came in the flesh as the sacrifice pleasing to God for our sins. He took it all upon Himself so we could have relationship with God through Jesus Christ ....
God is love ...
God is GOOD ... and love is the most excellent way.
Jesus loves us .... He made the way for us to come before God accepted & approved. Ask Him to be real to you, He will.
